Welcome to the new website of the Metropolitan Opera Club. I hope you enjoy learning more about our Club, which is truly a jewel of Lincoln Center and one of the best kept secrets of the opera world. We are proud of this site, and we hope that you will find it informative.
Founded in 1893, the Opera Club is a unique cultural institution that provides its members the opportunity for the enjoyment of vocal and instrumental music at the Metropolitan Opera in a friendly and collegial atmosphere. Our lectures and special dinners enable our members to get to know some of the stars of the opera world on an intimate basis, as well as to increase our understanding and appreciation for the operas that we enjoy from our private boxes on the dress circle level of the opera house. And of course our most valuable asset is something we can't really demonstrate on the web: our esteemed Members!
